April 4, 2012 within the bounds of the annual international audiovisual and digital content market showcase MIPTV/MILIA in Cannes Vitaly Fedko, General Manager of the War and Peace media group Public Corporation had a meeting with Arnie Gelbart, General Manager of the Canadian motion picture company Galafilm Inc.

The main topic of the meeting was the shooting of a new feature film with a working title "A long Way Around". The story centers around a Russian emigrant who wishes to return to Russia in the 20s via the Bering Strait. The outcome of the negotiations was Vitaly Fedko and Arnie Gelbart's decision to revise the screen script taking into account Russia’s cultural values. The leading part will be performed by a Russian actress and Russian specialists will hold the posts of the photography director and the editor. The shooting of the film will be carried out in Russia and Canada with the assistance of the Astral Media/Harold Greenburg Fund. The filming is supposed to start at the beginning of 2013. By estimate, the film's budget will total $5 million. The War and Peace media group Public Corporation market share in the co-production will be discussed later. Furthermore, within the bounds of the meeting Arnie Gelbart touched upon the topic of the creation by the media holding company of the international project "Play for the Future!"
