2012-22-03Russia’s Education Committee of the State Duma considers the introduction to the budget of the all-Russian project "War and Peace media group Public Corporation”
The all-Russian educational project “New Leaders of the 21st century” is being considered by Russia’s Education Committee of the State Duma. The project stipulates the annual output of 48 Russian and 12 international educational television products made by the War and Peace media group Public Corporation.
The new educational media project aims at a large-scale use of information and television communications technologies within the field of education. Its realization will facilitate access to educational programs for all citizen categories provided that they have Internet access to public networks. The essence of the project consists in discovering the most gifted youth representatives (between the ages of 15 and 30) that are believed to become the future Russian leaders. Moreover, the project will advance their education and strategic planning level via participation in strategic games pertinent to a wide scope of Russia’s state and social development programs including educational, scientific, economical, cultural, etc. issues. As soon as the education media project “New Leaders of the 21st century” is considered and approved of, it will be introduced to Federal education development task program for 2011-2015. It is assumed that the War and Peace media group will take up annual production of 60 educational television programs, an international version of the TV game "New Leaders of the 21st century" – “Play for the Future” as well as a media portal containing a distance learning strategic on-line game "New leaders of the 21st century", off-line versions of the game and an Internet area for expert conferences and launching virtual strategic games "New Leaders of the 21st century" and “Worlds of Sarmat” for the involvement of grassroots young people from various regions of Russia. The budget of the new project will total over RUR 1,5 billion. 70% of the expenses for the creation of the international version of the TV show will be defrayed by means of the funds obtained by the War and Peace media group. “Participation in such a socially significant federal scale project is an honor to us,” said Vitaly Fedko, General Manager of the War and Peace media group Public Corporation. “We are applying all of our versatile experience gained through the years of work in film industry, the modern production basis, and besides, we are backed up by our extraordinarily talented personnel, that have authored educational techniques and are ready to put them into practice.
